I could eat catfish everyday but unfortunately my wife is not a fan. So the only time I can get them is when I go to a restaurant. As a kid, I use to catch them in the sandpit behind our house. Really deep water. Big, ugly fish but tasty nonetheless!

 

If I ever get to Virginia…. I will be sad I didn’t know you 25 years ago, marry your daughter, and go to the beach 5 times a year!!!

btw… you’re more like an older bro…. But , ya know , the spirit of the post is positivity!

Tomorrow my younger brother (by four minutes) is having a cadavers’s bone put into his leg. This is why I don’t run half marathons.

In real life I am an older bro and a baby bro too. Sister in Pennsylvania is three years younger than me. Sister in NJ is three years older than me (her birthday was yesterday).

That said, both daughters are already taken. The youngest is expecting her first baby in about a week. I am gonna be a grandpa again. Now that is what you call old!

 

My better half doesn't like fish/seafood either. For years I didn't eat or cook any but lately iv been switching to eating more fish instead of beef. She's cool with that knows I'm trying to be more healthy. I could eat it daily to.
I'm from east Texas and we absorbed a lot of Louisiana food culture. I grew up eating all kinds of wild meats. Hunting/fishing is big in my family.

Some of the bigger catfish are down right ugly. Fuckers will and can get big enough to swallow a human I swear.

BTW, I forgot to mention that the picture of the fried catfish you posted looked so good. So much so that it encouraged me to ask my wife can we do the same. Answer was no. Fortunately for me though is she likes a lot of seafood (shrimp, clams, oysters, crabs, salmon to name a few) but catfish, trout and tilapia are definitely fish/seafood she will not eat.

 

I am going long!
