    About to crack the Peeber.

The faygo tastes like hitting a Newport with a mouthful of kodiak wintergreen after a shot of pepto bismol. My mouth is numb like novacain.

Time for a Summit Triumphant. I need to find another neighborhood LQ. Actually I do recall one just East of me. It's tiny. Maybe 5-7 cooler doors. A fair amt of Asian beers...a very old Chinese guy who's like a 274 yr old shaman that has reached an intensely high state of nirvana runs the joint, doesn't speak very good English and always comments "That's what the good looking ladies buy now" no matter what you buy. I'll see what's goin' on there. Cheers!

Always a pleasure drinking a Sea Hag. I love beer that tastes like beer.

Having a Stone IPA before I get off my ass and cook dinner. Actually, made some of the Bolognese sauce today from the recipe @Eddiehop had given me a long time ago. So all I have to do is cook the pappardelle, the sauce has been cooking in the slow cooker all day.

Tonight’s Greater Lakes Battle Beer Tasting Lineup:

    1) Three Floyd’s Munsterfest (6.0%): A German Märzen with flavors of smooth bread malts, and smooth caramel. Malty, soft, lower carbonation.
    versus
    2) Revolution Oktoberfest (5.7%): An Oktoberfest Märzen from Chicago with flavors of toasted bread malt, honey and caramel, with some light floral notes. Balanced.
    versus
    3) Great Lakes Oktoberfest (6.5%): A Märzen from Ohio with flavors of bread malt, sweet and earthy honey, with some citrus spice off the end. Sweeter and heavier.

    4) Drekker Brace for the G’s (7.2% canned 8/19/22 ): A NEIPA from North Dakota with YCH 303, Citra, Vic Secret, and Phantasm flavors of lime, kiwi, coconut, pineapple, and tropical Asian fruit.
    versus
    5) Drekker Evil Natured Robots (8.0% canned 6/15/22): A NEIPA from North Dakota brewed with Mosaic & NZH 10 hops for flavors of navel orange, tangelo, cantaloupe, orange rind and spice. (All beers correctly matched blind)
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Winners:

    2) Revolution Oktoberfest
: I've been looking forward for this comparison for a while. Head to head with Great Lakes. Two of my all-time favorite American Märzens. Both don't play their cards in the aroma, but when they warm the flavors really shine. Revolution captures all of the flavors without being too sweet. Just enough hoppiness to invite another sip. Revolution steams ahead to the next round.

    4) Drekker Brace for the G's: This one as some unique flavors thanks to the New Zealand and Phantasm flavors here. Some kiwi, coconut, pineapple, and tropical Asian fruit. A nice change of pace from the original citrus flavors. They did this one well and proof that Drekker has more than one tool up their sleeve in the NEIPA toolbox.

Had to restock Trop while at the store!
    Canned 9/9/22.

First time I’ve ever seen them use plastic labels on the cans… odd!

I'm in agreement with that sentiment - I would have said here, let me count that out for you ... assuming it would take 5 seconds to count one dollar it would take 1.6 minutes all together. And I would have also pointed out that it's legal tender - what a dickhead.

    However...

There is no federal statute mandating that a private business, a person, or an organization must accept currency or coins as payment for goods or services. Private businesses are free to develop their own policies on whether to accept cash unless there is a state law that says otherwise.

Totally agree with you and @budsNpils .
But after years of being self employed I learned to cultivate business for the long haul. He was petty and loud and obnoxious about it and for what??a customer that may never come back.
The nature of my job can really suck sometimes but if I didn't tolerate high levels of crap I'd be unemployed

What type of grapes? There are some ancient Muscadine vines winding all through the trees in several spots. They are very good, but with thick skins. Most people don't even see them. One of my grandsons goes right there every time he's here when they are ripe.

Good afternoon, advocates. Was able to procure pretty good last minutes seats at Citi Field for this evening's Mets vs Cubs clash. I think I'll go find myself an IPA. Cheers!
