Oh yeah, its one of my favorite books. I can't find the pic now, but they have a first edition behind glass at the bar that I salivate over and want whenever I go. I did find this though, from a few months back, reading Lowry's poetry at Under The Volcano.

My other favorite bar was down the road, the original The Ginger Man bar. They closed during Covid. Though The Hobbit Cafe is also just around the corner as well. I use to do my book bar tours a long time ago in that neighborhood ha.

Picked these up over weekend and couldn't wait to dive in. Good Word Brewing in Duluth, GA is just outstanding. Analog Life English Style Dark Mild 3.6% ABV. Doesn't matter it's an unseasonable warm 90°F today in Georgia. This hits the spot and at a low ABV. Love these guys. Cheers!

Did I forget to mention that the barrel aging integrates so well with the other flavours?
    Apparently, I did.

Loving these cold-weather beers, even though it's still pretty hot outside.

Time to clean the fridge. Two month old Master Shredder from The Veil => Roadie. My wife has a sore knee and the neighbors can't hang in the Beer Garden so flyin' solo around the hood. (This beer is definitely showing its age.)

    Speaking of master shredders...

Drekker Brace For the G's NEIPA, 7.2% ABV. Pours hazy gold, with a one-finger off-white head. Nose is citrus, taste follows, slightly sweet, moderately bitter. Mouthfeel is juicy, yet dry, with decent carbonation. Overall excellent.

The chili was fantastic - I used Impossible Meat instead of beef and didn't miss the beef at all. I had two bowls and I could have easily had more. Damn, it was really tasty and I have leftovers so I can enjoy over the next couple of days.

I'll offer up this tune for the evening ...
