    [​IMG] Tonight’s Blind Battle Beer Tasting Lineup:

    1) Garten Brau Pilsner (4.7%): A German Pils from Wisconsin with flavors of German bread malt, yeast, and a balanced, smooth finish.
    versus
    2) North Coast Scrimshaw (4.9%): A German Pils from California with flavors of bread malt and lemon biscuit. A doughy and yeasty mouthfeel.
    versus
    3) Brooklyn Pils (5.1%): A German Pils from NY with flavors of pale cracker malt and lemon. Light and clean.

    4) Maplewood Melting Mosaic (7.0% canned 6/14/22): A NEIPA from Chicago with flavors of juicy and tropical melon and berries. Flavorful and balanced.
    versus
    5) Hubbard’s Cave Drippin’ Dew (7.5% canned 6/20/22): A NEIPA from Chicago with flavors of resinous peach, plum, and cantaloupe. A sweet, lightly astringent body.
    (All beers correctly matched blind)
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Winners:

    1) North Coast Scrimshaw:     Not sure if it drinks most like a German Pils or that I just enjoyed it the best. Nice bread and lemon biscuit malt flavor. Bready, with a full mouthfeel. Enjoyable.

    4) Maplewood Melting Mosaic: Hubbard's Cave is fantastic , but somehow many of their IPAs all start to taste similar with a strong peach flavor. Maplewood one has a heck of a Mosaic showcase. One of the best breweries from Chicago and for good reason. Mosaic is not always easy to get just right without making it too dank. This one gives does just that giving the tropical flavors without being too dank.

    Takin' a much needed break now. Got sent about 50 songs to "check out" for a show on Wed. Should be a load of fun! Plus I drum all night Tues...tmrw. Show this Sat eve as well. Bauhaus Bestoked IPA. A hop tang then bready. Clean. Very EZ drinkin' for a 6.4% and brewed only a few miles from my crib. Nice. Cheers!

    My wife and I spent the weekend in DE with friends and I forgot my phone (unintentionnaly) - it was pretty nice for a change! It was also warm enough to hang at the beach. :sunglasses:
