    ...all the same, a nice chili pepper, not as hot as a Serrano, but good heat and spiciness compared to say a pablano or other mild chili peppers...

    Yeah, definitely just jalapenos. I've always found that as jalapenos turn red they turn milder. However, it's been a long time since I've actually had a hot jalapeno. The TAM jalapenos have taken over so people who don't really like hot food can say yeah, I eat jalapenos.
