In early February 2000 I was in Adelaide staying at the Hyatt Regency. My 5th floor room had an overview of the big local cricket field. It just so happened that my best friend had died that day back in Greensboro. He told me he would wait until I came home. It was a shock. I sat at the table in front of the window and composed my friend's obituary/eulogy watching high level cricket and trying to figure out the game. It was surreal. I put together a nice eulogy read at Brad's funeral by my daughter. I was drinking Cooper's Sparkling Ale, which I love. This is a profound memory that I'm glad to share. Cheers everyone and hoist one for Bradford Ross Adams...

I'm going to stick with hoppy beers as afternoon becomes evening, but that doesn't mean I can't keep switching things up. :grinning:

I’m at one of my local spots, Double Tap Brewing. Starting with its Marzen, Carnival of Sorts. It’s dry, earthy, and surprisingly bitter. No caramel bomb. Thursday cheers!

You get some awesome head, almost every day! I'm jealous! Most of us here don't get it as often as you do. :flushed::smirk:

Great song, thanks for posting. Would count Bruce and The Grateful Dead among the top rock artists I’ve had the privilege to have seen live that transcended their studio efforts. The “modern” E Street band most know and love are also excellent. Just like the vibe and more jazzier style of the first few years. It wasn’t a 180 like say the changes to Fleetwood Mac after Peter Green left.

Got to thinking about David Sancious, who ended up having an even better experience after leaving the band because he was able to tour and record with such great musicians as Jack Bruce, Peter Gabriel, Eric Clapton, Sting and others while periodically returning to record with Bruce. Also played both guitar and piano over the years. He would have been limited staying in the E Street Band.

David lived at home on 1107 E Street in Belmar, New Jersey and the band would occasionally rehearse in his garage. The rest, shall we say, is history.

It's a excellent lager imo. I rated it well. Similar to the Pils just with spruce tips and lemon balm. The more I drink it I can pick up on the lemon balm, spruce tips works nicely with the hops to. I'll keep buying it as long as I see it.

Jack's Abby, Brite as Hell, Munich Style Helles

At Jack's Abby, fuller bodied than regular Helles, smooth, malt forward, easy drinking. The foam looks much better when poured, not flat.

Camper Van, a truly old school WCIPA. Super dry with heavy pine, bitter citrus, and little malt presence. Like a mouthful of Citra hops.

These guys do the dank juice bomb exceptionally well, IMHO, and this beer is another example of their prowess in that space. Absolutely love it.

Had to turn on the heat in the house yesterday. But I'm sure I'll have the AC back on by this weekend. Annoying. Just pick a temperature. Never had this issue when we lived in southern Arizona.
