My first Trösten of this Fall and I chose what is probably my very dirtiest glass to serve it. Oh well. A bit smokier than last year's but delicious nonetheless. Love this beer. Doesn't get much love here or on Untappd but that's because it's not as hazy as one would expect a dark lager to be.

 

Tend IPA.

 

Cervecería Centro Americana, S.A. Famosa American Adjunct Lager, 5% ABV. Pours light golden with a 3-finger white head that left some lacing. Nose is malty and sweet. Taste is malty, slightly sweet, slightly bitter, and faintly tart. The first sip seemed over-carbonated and alka-seltzer like, but after it sat a few minutes it seems fine. Overall very good.

This lager hails from Guatemala. The 33oz bottle is huge. For scale, that's a big glass, about 19oz. The beer isn't bad. I'm not a big lager fan, but I'd drink a bunch on a hot day.
