Enjoying a Sweet Repute from Founders that a friend dropped off yesterday. The Maple and Bourbon barrels are well blended so that neither barrel dominates. It does finish surprisingly balanced but is a touch rough around the edges. This one may need some time to round out flavor wise. My friend has several four packs and my advice to him is to try one every 3-4 months.
    Cheers!

I had a bunch of Glenlivet left once used like almost the whole bottle(not a scotch fan not unless it's Duncan & Taylor 18yr shit). Made a batch of whiskey bacon and was pouring it pretty liberally in butter beans. Everything was tasty and that crap got used up.

116 proof! Definitely not for novices. I am happy with 80 proof Makers Mark and will not turn down 100 proof bourbon. But 116 proof anything would do me serious damage.

I have had my share of sinus infections. They are not fun. Sinus pain, sore throat, headache, and lots of fatigue. Docs used to prescribe antibiotics and within a day or so I was back to normal, or in my case, abnormal. Not sure if docs still prescribe antibiotics for sinus infections. The doc also recommended that I flush out my sinuses with a saline solution year round. There are several devices on the market that you can use.

I can see where the bourbon would impart some unique caramelized flavors. I'm not a bourbon drinker (we had a falling out back in college) so I don't usually have any around to experiment with. I'm enjoying playing around with different beers in food though. A lot of variety to work with.

...Scotch for me...lurching out of church during the homily later that morning - in front of the whole congregation to puke my guts out down in the church basement restroom didn't endear me to my parents - couldn't stand the smell of it for decades afterwards...we've come to terms, but (somewhat like bourbon and tequila), not as much is consumed as in 'back in the day'...

As much as I like buying local, I also love the classics:

Phones are light for a few days before Christmas, so I’m binging the last season of Walking Dead while working.

Still shot doesn't capture the cascading effect well. This is a pretty tasty beer with a nice feel to it.
