The five beers at the front of the fridge are on the menu for Christmas day.
    1. Tree House Brewing Company, USA, Quadruple Shot Stout, from my Beerpimp @TurkeysDrinkBeer.
    2. Smooth Brewery, Australia, Black IPA, from my homebrew.
    3. Local Brewing Co., Australia, Pine Time WCIPA, from an Advent Calendar.
    4. New Belgium Brewing Company, USA, Voodoo Ranger Hazy IPA, from the same Advent Calendar.
    5. The Grifter Brewing Co., Australia, Serpent's Kiss, a pilsner, and also from the Advent Calendar.
Have stayed off the beers all week in preparation for tomorrow, but it'll be a long, long time since I've drunk five beers in one day, so we'll see if I get through them!

    Cheers!

At the moment enjoy a strange Quad from Proclamation with grape must, Blood Moon Presence. Otherwise for the rest of the weekend I've got Ryeway To Heaven, Tynt Meadow, Nancy, Cashew Turtle Framinghammer, KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge, and Port Cask Harvest Ale. Who know if I'll actually stick to that (bc I'm indecisive as fuck) but that's the plan as of now. Got something special line dup for new year's day, just hoping the new cellar thread is up on the 1st :yum:

I know I'm way late to this party, but see if you can source some quality beef cheeks for a similar recipe. Basically any braised beef cheeks recipe I've tried has been a smash hit

Had some Free Will Ralphius varieties sent to my sister in law’s house near Pittsburgh where I will celebrate Christmas. I think I will indulge in one or two!

For xmas eve I had a very nice two year barrel aged old ale (ominous synth music) by Bonesaw, a mediocre IPA, and then a rocherfort 10 which I hadn’t had in quite a while. Such a terrific beer and a great nightcap.

Today will be interesting - will definitely do a vintage bourbon county at some point but then dinner will be some nice red sauce italian food (homemade manicotti) and I have no personal rule about beer and tomato sauce - there’s an excellent Brunello di Montalcino on deck I think.

Interesting beer. The bourbon is noted, the cherries are very prominent, and the mouthfeel is a bit thinner than the standard Mad Elf. Kinda gives me the impression of Mad Elf Grand Cru blended with champagne, which I'm now thinking I need to try.

I had a lineup for this week, but then had a round of covid to get over. This is the first beer I've had in a week.

Back on the 3rd we had a get-together and did a Mad Elf sampling. Started with Naked Elf, then Mad Elf 2022, then Mad Elf 2020, and finished with Mad Elf Grand Cru 2022. It was a lot of fun and is my intention to be a yearly thing here at Spade Manor.

Merry Christmas to everyone and their families!

Probably that one holiday release with cranberry and “spices” from Clausthaler :joy:
I kinda wish seasonals were more of a thing with NA beers. Anyway, hope everyone has a Great Christmas and has some good to enjoy

    Amen.
I absolutely love that beer too.

Aventinus is a "traditional" Christmas (and/or Christmas Eve) beer for me.
    As is Aventinus Eisbock

Have you tried Corsendonk's Christmas Ale? That reminded me of Aventinus in more than one way. Though it wasn't Aventinus, of course.

I see that Corsendonk is on your List. Did you have it? What do you think of it?
