I have mixed vodka(sky) with Corona w/ lime wedge and it has actually worked out quite well. To well actually by your 3rd you can start making them doubles and they taste the same. 1 of the drunkest iv ever been. Locked myself in a bathroom and couldn't get that bitch unlocked to save my life...

1) Junkyard Tony’s Big Show (8.1% canned 10/28/22): A NEIPA from Minnesota with Amarillo and Simcoe for flavors of tart grapefruit citrus, pineapple, and mango flesh.
versus
2) Hop Butcher Mega Dipped (8.0% canned 10/25/22): A NEIPA from Chicago with Citra, Amarillo, and Simcoe for flavors of tropical pineapple, juicy melon and tangerine. Heavy and sweet. (Both correctly matched blind)

Winner:
2) Hop Butcher Mega Dipped: The ol' Simcoe and Amarillo duel. Junkyard had some interesting flavors of tart grapefruit citrus. I would have thought maybe some Idaho 7 or Strata, but no. I think Hop Butcher nailed the Amarillo and Simcoe flavors with the heavy and juicy tropical pineapple, melon, and tangerine which is how these two hops drink best. Hop Butcher gets the win, but don't sleep on Junkyard, which is a smaller brewery, but can brew up some mean NEIPAs far beyond their size.

 

I need to try a pickle beer and vodka. I hear the pickle juice can balance out vodka pretty well. God damn I'm going to have to pursue this idea next time I'm out. We'll see what I come up with.

Trying an Orange Blossom Ginger Tripel from an Asheville area brewer Whistle Stop. As you can imagine the ginger adjunct came across pretty strong and worked well as a balancing mechanism with the Orange. Did not catch Pinot characteristics. Not a bad beer, but one i would not have again.

Happy Hump Day BeerAdvocates! Thanks again @AzfromOz for poppin' open 3735. Last night was drumming and I had the best tasting Miller Lite I've ever had due to recently cleaned tap lines. Totally nuts. Then, chatting with the owner at the end of the gig, she gave me a pint of Bell's Two Hearted. It's never tasted so good. Damn! But today is today and I'm diggin' into this Beachwood Citraholic IPA. Cheers!

Only have a couple left, and yes, the 60 degree temp is about where I thought it best. Glad you enjoyed it, but I gotta say, if I drank one of those at 8:30 in the morning I'd be napping by 9:30 AM.

A pleasant sunny afternoon winding down…the dogs are roaming about the backyard…I’m enjoying a DIPA from Ölōgy Brewing Co., Tampa, FL - Polar Drift:



Brewed with Citra Spectrum, Strata, Sabro, and Citra. An excellent hazy. I’m grooving on the Strata and Citra combinations lately. Best part? No Mosaic ;-)

Temps here hit a high of 68°, which has backed off to 64° now. I’ll set a spell and drink this tasty localish brew. Cheers gang!

 

That is a magnificent beer! I’m in love with Galaxy lately and it pairs so well with Citra, imo. Cheers!
