Ah, I hand no idea they had a location there. Checked the link out. Cool looking place. Interesting looking tap list too. Thanks!

More Riggs and more ECM records, but a different variety ha.

One of my favorite American made Schwarzbier's in the glass, Jan Garbarek's Witchi-Tai-To spinning.

Still at the pub…Prison Pals’ “Golden Cage” WC DIPA in collab with Tripping Animals:

Oranges, pine and some dankness in the nose. Taste follows w/a firm malt base. Mild bitter citrus peel linger. Slightly sticky feel. Nailed WC! Cheers gang!

This beer is a lot juicier than I prefer, lately I've just had a stronger aversion to juicy beers. I have a feeling it's going to meet the drain - not that it's a bad beer, just not enjoying it.

I picked up my VA hearing aids today that are custom tailored to my hearing loss and all I can say is that it was a real WOW moment. I'm hearing stuff I have not heard in years. Just amazing, for me a real life changing event.

@BMBCLT Have you had anything from Bierkeller in Columbia, SC?

    1) Portage Above the Clouds (7.2% no canning date): A NEIPA from Minnesota with Sultana, Vic Secret, Sabro, Citra for flavors of grapefruit citrus, coconut, some vinous notes. Soft, dry, drinkable.
    versus
    2) BlackStack Stacking Bricks: Scramjet (7.2% no canning date): A NEIPA from Minnesota with Citra, Mosaic, Talus & Nelson, Phantasm Powder for flavors of tropical pineapple, mango, and peanut butter.

    Winner:
    1) Portage Above The Clouds:
A couple of Minnesota NEIPAs. BlackStack incorporates Brickworth and this one has some interesting flavors of peanut butter. :/ ...not sure if it's from the Phantasm Powder or what, but at least fades a bit as it warms.
Portage is a MN brewery that has grown on me. A soft, clean, and dry body. Incredibly drinkable and soft. I've had a few of their NEIPAs, and this is one worth checking out from Minnesota.

Man, sounds like the Flu fucked your tastes buds up. But I'm glad about your new hearing aids. At least there's something positive in the last month or two. :sunglasses:

@ATL6245, no I haven't had anything from them. I'm not a fan of light/subtle Lagers.

Thanks really cool @LarryV. It's remarkable to me that you are able to play so well with a hearing issue.

Thank you, sir you are right. This is now 7.3% and, had known, may have influenced the blind beer decision.

Could be - fact is, I'm still not 100% over it. I still have congestion and a cough but not consistent.

Thing is, I've talked to several people who have all been dealing with the same symptoms so it definitely seems to be something viral in nature.

I hope you get over that shit soon. I'm sure you're sick and tired of it already. And you're yet to have Christmas with your daughter. Is she feeling any better?

Thanks - my hearing issues are more conversationally based. I have a hard time making out speech with some people, especially in a crowded place. I can hear them but it just sounds jumbled to me. It all depends where their voice falls in the frequency range. Something as simple as hearing the microwave beep - now I can hear it very clearly, before I couldn't hear it at all unless I was right on top of it. My daughter's going to freak - I should be able to hear her very clearly now :sunglasses:

She just texted me yesterday to say she tested negative for Covid after having tested positive the previous week. Thing is that doesn't mean she's not contagious. It should be 10 days after testing positive but it's possible we'll get together Sunday.

I've self tested several times and each time has been negative. Like everyone else, I'm really virus weary, but you can't let your guard down.
