I have tried one of every beer in the BB NA pack and as of now here's my preference (second place tie) but they are all pretty similar tasting and close:

    1. Pils - 80 calories, 17g carbs
    2. Hazy IPA - 80, 17g
    2. Hoppy Amber - 95, 17g
    3. IPA - 80, 17g

All are quite hoppy so if that is your thing you would dig these. A worthy purchase for me and I will have no issues working through these.

I don’t have any inside knowledge, but believe it’s a core year-round product for them now. I live in the land of Deschutes and it is stocked abundantly here.

I saw this on the Facebook group, Non-Alcoholic Beer Appreciate Society (NABAS), and thought I'd pass it along. I reached out to the guy that compiled this and he said it was fine to re-post here. Good info to know.

Having tried over 100 NA beers, I keep coming back to three breweries in particular: Athletic, Untitled Art and Two Roots.

But I was curious as to what the data said and if there were any highly regarded NA breweries flying under the radar. So I went to Untappd and tabulated the highest rated NA breweries (for those that do both, only counted the NA options). Some of the results did not surprise me, but others did. Like more distro for Southern Grist NA offerings please!

NOTE: only did breweries that have at least 3+ different NA options.

    Southern Grist— 3.84 (577 ratings)
    Untitled Art— 3.68 (9,018)
    Barrel Brothers— 3.67 (447)
    Woodland Farms— 3.61 (539)
    RationAle— 3.58 (186)
    Kit NA— 3.54 (288)
    Rescue Club— 3.51 (796)
    Athletic— 3.46 (69,961)
    Two Roots— 3.46 (3,109)
    Best Day— 3.43 (423)
    Three Magnets/Self Care— 3.42 (601)
    Busty Lush— 3.42 (329)
    Three Notch’d/Uncool— 3.39 (433)
    Bauhaus— 3.30 (406)
    Atmos— 3.29 (603)
    Wellbeing— 3.28 (10,554)
    Mikkeller— 3.23 (111,029)
    Ceria— 3.17 (1,848)

Nice info. Thanks for all the detail work. I wasn't aware of most of these which probably means they aren't available to me. And Michigan is a state that makes it difficult for alcoholic beverages to be shipped inbound, so probably little or no opportunity to get them that way.

Grocery stores here in PA used to have nice-sized NA beer sections with a decent amount of variety because they couldn't sell regular beer but since that has changed those sections have shrunk down to almost nothing in many stores.

I happened to see they have BOGO at the moment, FYI. I didn't succumb only because I don't anticipate anything truly different from what's out there.

I tried my first NA beer--Athletic All Out--and had the same reaction you did. How is it getting such high ratings (and how is anyone writing in their review that they could confuse it with a real porter if they hadn't read the label)? I went into it knowing that it would be light bodied and expected it to be similar to a schwarzbier as opposed to a full-bodied stout or porter. But I got almost no flavor and what I did get was a rather unpleasant, cat-pissy hop aroma and aftertaste.

I'm going to give it a second chance (well 29 second chances and 6 for the Mexican-style lager as it was worth the risk to load up sight-unseen at $5.65/6-pack) to see if a fresh palate helps at all. Hopefully I can come back and provide a positive update to this post in a couple of days, but as of now I have no idea how Athletic sells such massive quantities of this stuff. I'd rather save the money and just drink a water while sitting next to my cats' litter box.

Guinness 0 is on my list to try, but I've got a few All Outs to clear out first.

Side note: I ordered directly from the brewery and every single can was packaged on 10/13/22. Seriously? I know they were running a big sale but I didn't expect to get 3-month old beer when ordering direct.

That's interesting - not in my part of the world just yet (mostly a few western states, as they are quite new in the market)
Just tried to order from them on their website (they are having a buy 1 get 1 special), but it would not go through for some reason...
Their beers are being contract brewed by the same place as the "Al's Classic" lager I posted about here earlier - which was really good....that contract brewer is Barrel Brothers in Windsor CA.....interesting indeed!

I happened to see a new Sam Adam's NA yesterday, anyone had it? Think it's a golden ale but not certain about that (the can is green).

New one for me. Nice session style IPNA. Bit sweet but finish is bitter. I like this and could drink a few at a time. Still want to try their hop water but the dates are close to 5 months old, the SN is within a month.

    Enjoy

Right, it’s not JTH however it’s basically a green version of the same packaging. And I did spy the word “golden” so presumably golden ale.

Are you sure it's an NA and not Alpine Lager or the Golden Pilsner out now?

I passed this the other day and was curious, sounds like I should give it a shot.

Long story short, it's a serviceable amber lager replacement. I've read some descriptions on this thread of NA beers that were pretty negative. I'll say I was there 1-2 years ago, but this year my attitude toward a dry January is more positive and I'm not white knuckling, waiting on a date to drink the "real" thing. I guess the moral of my story is the NA stuff will be as good as you want it to be within reason. If most folks say it's good, circle back if your situation changes and see what you think. Cheers!
