Felt very confident going in that the Cowboys would roll by at least 10 points over the Bucs. Here is a toast to knocking out the GOAT :beers:

Enjoying a lovely Saison from Zebulon Artisan Ales on this fine 60-degree day south of Asheville.
    Cheers!

Dark, clear brown body, opaque in the glass; dense, sculpted head, light tan in color. Rich, malted grain nose; cocoa; a mild note of cherry in the distance; earthy sweetness. Outstanding flavor; semi-sweet chocolate with a dollop of cherry flavor; cocoa; mild sense of whiskey. Heavy mouthfeel yet also soft and pillowy.

Mellow with a boozy kick succinctly describes this beer.

Good afternoon, advocates. Listening to the pundits speculate on Brady's future while I enjoy this hoppy beer from Russian River. Cheers!

Not bad, but too expensive. My local place loves to price gouge too, so that doesn’t help. Beachwood 8Buffalo Bourbon:

Dang, Are you on Tuesday or Monday time? Over here east of The Appalachians, on The Piedmont Plateau, it is foggy, rainy, and 49F. It's a classic Piedmont Wedge. Colder air trapped up against the mountains and a warmer air east. It can persist for a few days on occasion. I cannot say "poor Tom Brady".

    1) Drekker Morning Ritual (6.4%): A Coffee Stout from North Dakota with flavors of smooth chocolate, roasted coffee, bittersweet cocoa and lactose. Smooth and malty.
    versus
    2) Third Space Mocha Java Porter (7.0%): A Porter from Wisconsin with flavors of roasted coffee, cocoa, and bitterness. Dry and thin. (mismatched the two beers blind)

    Winner:
    1) Drekker Morning Ritual:

Coffee Stouts are hit or miss for me. Too much coffee and not enough sweet malt to balance the coffee astringency can ruin them and drink like wet coffee grounds. That's what Third Space does to me here. Drekker has just the right amount of coffee flavor with sufficient lactose and malt to tame some of the coffee notes. I usually don't drink this style unsure of whether I'm going to find a nice Stout or wet coffee grounds.

    16 ounce can.
    Canned 01/11/23.

Moderate pour yields a 3/4 inch tan head over a black body with very sticky, sheeting lacing.
    Holy sheets!

Nose of dark roasted malts and dark chocolate.
As it warms it smells of all the chocolates!
    Yowza!

Taste is dark, bitter chocolate and finishing with bitter, unsweetened chocolate.
As it warms it becomes more roasty.

Feel is very nice; (think light cream.)

Overall, what an utter joy to drink this and so glad I have seven more cans
as I can't get out there as much as I'd like since my days off are Hill's days off.
You better get out there before they're sold out (cuz you ain't gettin' none of mine!!!)

    Cheers!!!

...nothing concrete in the works at this time, but I hope to someday meet up with @Shanex...Mrs. BeerGoot and I both have passports (we've never used), and me, having lived in (then circa late 1980s) West Germany for five years (with two trips to Paris and a neat volksmarch in eastern France) along with Mrs. BG's desire to visit France - well, never say never...

    Hey Dick,
Thanks for sharing a bit about NC weather quirks! Had a brief light rain shower at 2:15 and within a half hour it was gorgeous while i was out chatting with a neighbor. Tom is the GOAT but man he needs to understand when to say when!

Oof, ok, errands/chores, done, student meeting done.
A little tired, but hey... beer waits for no one.

Another start on a 4 pack of Pipeworks Forest Fauna.

As you know, I'm fond of this beer. Cheers!
