If it ain’t broke don’t fix. Seriously JZ they just started Distro to RI and Mass. They brewed 3 beers with phantasm that were underwhelming, a Cold IPA that was barely drinkable, and now this. Don’t try to grow too fast and keep brewing great Beer. Cheers Jeff.

Round one of Dungeness crab legs and claws, and an adult beverage that may not look like a beer.

Every single one of the Aecht beers is beautifully rendered. These brews are almost genetic memories for me. The aromas of smoldered beech and attendant wood tannins is like ancient wood fires from time immemorial. That this is present in a delightful tasty beer is a marvel.

If only Jonathan Swift might have had modern digital/electronic capabilities these Lilliputians might already have been born. Good job in filling the breach!

Oh, its bookstore time at Brazos...yeah this is one of the better book stores anywhere, I mean Larry McMurtry hung out here. With good reason ha.

Picked up some new releases...Paul Harding's The Other Eden which I can't wait to get into. as well as The Last Pomegranate Tree from an Iraqi poet/novelist Bachtyar Ali. I have never read a novel translated from Kurdish before. You will for sure see these soon, but for now...reading this...

Margaret Atwood's The Blind Assassin...you got that

Going to Under The Volcano, just a block away from the bookstore. Saint Arnold Spring Bock in the glass. Always underrated.

Then over to Roost, a great old school restaurant...with house made rabbit sausage, sweet potato and pork belly. Yeah this is great. With Southern Star Buried Hatchet Stout. I know this is categorized as an Imperial Stout, but it has always been a great Foreign Export Stout, regardless of what its classified as here.

And finishing off with some coffee, man I love Roost.
