Well, @beerdedking , here is an ESB ,and I am pretty sure @WunderLlama sent it to me, though it could have been @Roy_Hobbs also. Again, I am so thankful that this was sent to me.

Murky amber pouring beer with a 2 finger slightly off white head. The bubbles are smaller and it's fluffy looking. There's some lacing on the glass. Decent retention. Some carbonation rising in the glass.
Slightly malty aroma. Not too much else and the aroma is light.
This beer is very malty. Lots of malty biscuit flavor, some sweetness. The bitterness comes into play on the backside from the hops. The hops seem to have a pine character.
The body is actually pretty damn good and full.
I am digging this one. Delicious!

Full treatment in the cellar review thread with additional comments in the imperial stout appreciation thread. Bottom line, it's a solid beer, glad I have a few more, slight drop of from fresh but that's what typically happens when you cellar beer.

Clear golden pouring beer. The head is 3 finger, very fluffy, white, and long lasting. The head clings to the side of the glass like superglue as it dissipates. There's a decent amount of carbonation rising in the glass.
Aroma is malty, and somewhat sweet. I get a hint of honey in the nose.
Well, this is a very hop dominant beer, and I didn't get it in the nose. This surprises me. Some pine, and a good deal of citrus. I also get a bit of malt in this beer, that is bread like. I do get some sweetness from the malt.
Decent body overall. The hops seem to thicken it and make it somewhat sticky feeling.
Tasty, delicious, and refreshing. So happy to have had the chance to try it.

 

Got a whole lot of nothing done today…a pre-dinner prep cellar pull - Westbrook’s “Mexican Cake”:



Bottled 6/15/18. Poured at 56°. Spicy hot peppers, cinnamon and chocolate. No oxidation detected. No drop off in flavor. This beer has held up well after 31/2 years and is delicious. Cheers!

The Hammerheart people are moving to Ely, MN under a new name. It's a 4 hour drive for me, but I'm sure I'll make it once they open.

 

Well, I'm looking fwd to the dry January flood gates to open up here. Some will return with no change. Some will fill an Olympic sized pool and go for the gold! I enjoy the conversations about comebacks, vindications, logic & reasoning, personal necessities, axe grinding, revelations, weight loss and of course folk who decide they'll stay dry for a bit longer. Do what makes you happy. When you're happy the people around you are as well. Sunny days & liquid gold await us all good BAs so...more fire to the engines! SN Celebration Ale. Keep on chooglin'!!
