    Most of the folks at the family party we were at were pounding scotch (sigh), so I probably finished about 1L of it by myself. Still amazing.

    After church... we hit the Draught House here in Austin and I got...

    Jester King El Cedro (Hoppy Cedar-Aged Ale w/ Brettanomyces)

    Followed by...

    Austin Beerworks Sputnick (w/ growler)

    and finally a (512) Bruin cask variant that was aged in rum-soaked wood chips.

    In Memoriam

    My estranged wife came to visit me, for XMas Eve. Me and her shared a bottle of red wine w/ our gorgeous 20 yr old daughter (back off guys). My 3 yr old grandson angel visited me on Saturday. They brought me a big botlle of Chimay Blue. I can woe and moan all I want about bein' alone, but I had it pretty good. Not a bad Christmas.

    My cousin and I split a three liter bottle of Double Bastard last night. Unexpectedly, we finished before dessert, so we iced down a 2009 Black Ops real quick and finished the night with that.

    I'm counting the lack of a hangover that I have right now as a Christmas miracle.
