    1) Ayinger Weizenbock (7.1%): A Weizenbock with flavors of rich bread, orange citrus spice, yeast with hints of dark fruit. Bready and yeasty.
    versus
    2) Schneider Weisse Tap 6: Mein Aventinus (8.2%): A Weizenbock with flavors of rich German bread, banana bread, yeast and hints of dark fruit with a sweet caramel finish. (Mismatched the two beers blind)

    Winner:
    1) Ayinger Weizenbock:     Two great German Weizenbocks. First try at Schneider Weisse which pours darker and is more rich at a higher ABV. Some great German flavors with more caramel and shows the booze a bit more. Rated number 1 on BeerAdvocate. Still, I think Ayinger gets the perfect score in my books. Tons of complex fruit and spice flavors. Hides the booze better. Bready, yeasty, but also clean, drinkable, and not too sweet. German beer perfection in a glass.

    I had to go in for an ultrasound this morning at 7 am and I was required to drink 24 oz of water an hour before and then hold it :stuck_out_tongue: That was my substitute for coffee this morning. :sunglasses:

    Second hike in with a buddy of mine - at the local State Park - came across more idiots with dogs and no leashes....why are people so dumb?

    Anyway - back home and having a "cold snack" - sitting outside on the deck around my sunroom - 70 degrees and sunny!!
