No beers for me today - or food for that matter since I'm prepping for the big C test tomorrow morning. I can only have clear liquids so I've been sipping on chicken broth for my big indulgence. Black coffee is okay to have as well so I may make myself a cup of java shortly.

My plan is to start drinking the evacuation fluid at 6 pm and have an 8 ounce glass every 15 minutes - that way I should be done at 8 pm. Since I can't offer a beer picture I will offer a tune.

This one is definitely more on the jazzy side. When you can't eat or drink beer - play guitar.
    Bass and guitars by me.

    Greetings from Cape Cod
I’m really digging the fact we can go to the beach everyday in February so far, though I feel for the people that make a living off the snow and skiers.

I’m drinking this pineapple bomb for the first time, my thoughts after I drink some more over on NBW. Cheers
    Check it out Leroy

Thank you Hunter - maybe I'll be able to join in later tomorrow with a beer in hand. I'll have to wait to get the instructions from the doctor. I'll be glad when this is all done since it tends to stress me out a little - mostly due to the prep.Cheers!

    1) Utepils Loonar Eclipse (5.1%): A Czech Dark Lager from Minnesota with flavors of bread and dark fruit. Lightly floral aroma. Quiet and smooth
    versus
    2) Fair State Eleven Degrees (4.4%): A Czech Dark Lager from Minnesota with Kazbek hops for spiced flavors of dark grains, chocolate, bread, with a light bitterness. (Correctly matched the two blind)

    Winner:
    2) Fair State Eleven Degrees:
The Dark Czech Lager battle of Minnesota. Utepils was decent. Yeasty, grainy, but a bit mild. Slightly less than you'd expect from Utepils quality.
Fair State make a great one here as I'd expect. A fantastic Czech Dark Lager. Dark, roasty, lightly floral and bitter. The Kazbek hops here show a bit to give it a spice and floral bitterness. Fair Sate is the master of Pilsners and this one is no different. Great stuff.

A beautiful day out, had to go out to spend some time on the Great Heights Brewing patio. First up Waxie's Dargle, which is an excellent Irish Dry Stout.

Then a Donny, Who Loved Bowling IPA...yep its a Big Lebowski reference. The IPA is excellent, uses all Denali hops. The have made both of these before, but I would love it if they were both year round beers

Got a 4 pack of Donny's to go as well. Really loving this book, but I don't want to read it too fast, cause then it will be over ha.

    1) Hop Butcher Green Moss (7.5% canned 11/7/22): A NEIPA from Chicago with Citra & Simcoe for flavors of green citrus, tropical pineapple, sweet melon and berries with hints of pine.
    versus
    2) Hop Butcher Mirror Ball (7.5% canned 10/24/22): A NEIPA from Chicago with Mosaic, Centennial and Citra for flavors of orange citrus, sweet berries, some resinous pine. Heavier and sweet. (Incorrectly matched the two blind)

    Winner:
    1) Hop Butcher Green Moss:
Another Hop Butcher Sunday. These drank extremely similar. A little age and oxidation on both too. They have some nice resinous pine and sweetness to them. Green Moss gets the win as it has just lightly more juicy citrus and slightly dry and cleaner. Still drinks decent at four months out, but not as good as it could. Wish I could find them fresher. If anyone has HB to trade LMK.
