speaking of old, vintage bikes - I still have the 1974 Schwinn LeTour 10 speed road bike I bought as a kid for $169 at age 16 - great bike and I believe the frame was made in Japan by Panasonic! Many of their components are similar if not the same....
    Great bike!

Consider yourself lucky - those things are damn near suicidal when they see a car and they're built like a truck too! The sight of a freshly-dead wombat, having kamikazied out of the dusky gloom and now saluting the sky with stiff-legged, belly-up solemnity by the side of the road is a rite of passage here in Oz. You're never truly accepted as a local until you've ploughed into one, or at least had to drive around a carcass in the middle of the road!

    Cheers!

I still have my Gazelle Champion Mondial (AA frame) racing bike. I got it (pre owned) in the early 1980's. Did official races too with my biking club. Keeping it for a memory. I ride a carbon racer and a gravel bike nowadays.

Basilica, a WCIPA from American Brewery More (8%).

Quite bitter and resinous, with a light caramel malt backbone, some fruit and very nice spicy, herbal and earthy accents, with that resinous pine really standing out. Best WCIPA I've had in a while, although good ones are admittedly hard to come by in my neck of the woods.

I kinda regret selling my old Wheeler racebike, which I turned into a citybike.

Full take linked here. Long story short, there was slight drop off with this one, primarily aroma, comparted to my Ryeway to Heaven yesterday canned three days later in 2017. However, this beer remains wonderful and a pleasure to close out Cellaruary for me in 2023!

Looks like you are having a great Florida trip @Danmullens1 ! Can't wait to crack open the Hop Butcher Two Flat I picked up yesterday, one of my favorites from them, early next week.

Really loved your Wayne Shorter tributes yesterday @champ103 ! Going to share two live performances featured by Matthew Hermes on WDCB while I stayed up through 5 AM (as usual).

BTW since everybody and his dog is posting photos of their bicycle I’m also in.

This is thin (sigh), young (double sigh) and drinking either water or Gatorade then Shanex.

For obvious reasons I’m more careful about posting my mug these days:

Banesto was the Jersey and team of then Spanish rider Miguel Indurain before the Armstrong clusterfack:

Well BA's, it's been a bear of a week for yours truly. Lots of hours. The Man got more than his money's worth. Been looking forward to chilling and trying this new IPA with the hyped up Star Party IPA. Designed by Mitch Steele at New Realm and utilizing Azacca, Citra, Mosaic and Cashmere hops. Ever since a local brewery (Variant) did an IPA with Cashmere hops I've really like it. Here's my take.

    4.14/5 rDev +5.6%
    look: 4.25 | smell: 4 | taste: 4.25 | feel: 4.25 | overall: 4
Appearance: Slightly hazy light amber. Frothy white head with good retention.

Aroma: Citrus, berry and little pine.

Flavor & Aftertaste: Hop forward with strong citrus and berry flavors. Moderate bitterness.

Mouthfeel: Medium body, drying, medium length finish.

Overall: Okay, I think the Star Party yeast is a bit overhyped here. I'm not sure I could distinguish much difference. Seems like the Cashmere hops is what's coming through the most, but it may be the yeast strain. Regardless, this is a solid well crafted IPA. Very drinkable at 6.5% abv. The citra, mosaic and cashmere hops are distinctive. The Azacca may be getting overshadowed by the Citra. Notable but not overbearing bitterness. Enjoyed it.

That's a nice Czech lager. We used to get it down here but I haven't seen it in a while.
