Finishing up with this tonight, again from mjohnson17, had it before, but it is just as good as I remember. Fantastic beer, crazy that cases are what, $35 at the brewery?

Started off the evening splitting this one with my father in law.

He liked it a lot (his drink of choice is Bud Light Lime, but deep down he really likes craft beer). I kind of liked it. Decent brew. I think I'd like to try the proper imperial stout. This one was decent. Had about 6 months on it. Nice raisin, dark fruits, chocolate covered cherries, mild bourbon, some oakiness.

Switched to a Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale with the father-in-law during dinner. He liked this one as do I.

Having a Saranac Chocolate Lager right now. Sort of just meh as with other Saranac beers IMO.

    Cheers everyone!

When they told me the new batch was more mellow and less sour than the previous, I didn't expect to like it as much.

    Then, I popped my bottle.

    Then, I bought more.

Tonight I'm splitting a Westy 12 with my father. He read about the recent release and was wondering what it tasted like. Thanks to Brabander I had a few already sitting in the cellar.
