Toppling Goliath Mornin' Latte (8.9%): A Coffee Milk Stout from Iowa with flavors of roasted coffee, sweet dark chocolate, vanilla, caramel, and syrup.

Keeping on the Toppling Goliath trend. Look at that pour. Pretty much drinks sweet as I expected based on the ratings so far. Thank you Beer Advocate. Coffee on the nose and upfront on the flavor, but after that it quickly fades into a thick, heavy, and sweet stout. The bitterness and roast is no match for the sweet malt here. This one is like the Frappuccino at Starbucks that pretends to be a coffee drinks but is really just syrup and sweetness in disguise. Cannot say it wasn't enjoyable.

 

Hello Advocates!

What a productive, beautiful Spring day we had here in NH.

Day off from training, so I banged out 4hrs of yard work this morn, took a beautiful 5mi walk by the lake, and hand-washed my car. Washed the driveway too while I was at it.

Time to enjoy a little Schilling... some grilling... and chilling!



Pulled the trigger on this year's fitness plan and joined the USATF this morning.

Also registered for the first two 2023 NE Mountain Running Circuit races.

Yellow Rose is whole cone mosaic and pilsner malt. I agree, I like the single hop n malt beers to. You can get to really know a hop. The recent nectaron zythophile edition is also tasty.

Hop Butcher Two-Flat APA (Amarillo, Simcoe, Idaho 7). I really wish Hop Butcher made more clear hops. This is a classic by them and never disappoints. Tangerine, pineapple, apricot, lemon, ruby red grapefruit, grapefruit pith, floral, pine resin. Bright, dry, and nicely bitter. I regret not getting more cans of this. Awesome west coast APA.

 

Jai Alai at Shuckers Oyster Bar......yes!

 

Now in cans rather than bottles, but still one of the best values ($5.99/6-pack) at Trader Joe's.

A flavorful Marzen from a co-worker in Ohio. Not a style I would seek out, but definitely enjoyin' this from Jackie O's.
