Much more like it. Still a "budget supermarket beer" but it's got a decent body and overall very good for the money.

Another Maplewood offering from Brewvana. This is the second oldest beer I received from them. Canned August 8th 2022. It does taste a tad long in the tooth. Dry hopped is fading and there's a sharpness to it. Oh well.

Happy Sunday BA's! Three hours of overtime complete, 3 mile run done (my tribute to tomorrow's Boston marathon), load of clothes washed and the pool brushed and chlorinated. Time for a beer as we get ready to grill his and hers burgers. Wicked Weed Perni-Haze is hitting the spot. For us MotoGP fans the boys race in Austin TX today at COTA, 1430 EST start time.

Sipping a Allagash From Maine, With Love #23: Bourbon Barrel-Aged Stout with Ethiopia Guji Dimtu coffee. All the elements are pronounced and well integrated, very balanced for a big stout.

Hey BA's - happy beautiful Sunday - after an incredible week of beautiful warm summer like weather and temps - that is coming to a close later today with some rain and a cold front moving through,,,,,Emma and I did a lot of paddling on our lake this week - awesome!

 

Long Trail Limbo IPA, 7.6% - haven't seen this for years and couldn't pass up a $2.99 stovepipe! This is a delicious IPA with candied orange, tropical fruit, and pine! Round and smooth and so well made. Cheers!



I know it's spring because the red ants have bloomed in the kitchen! My counter-attack is 5:1 sugar to borax dissolved in a water bottle full of warm water (shaken, not stirred) and drizzled on cotton balls set on post-it notes (so they don't dry and forever stick to the floor)! It's total carnage in here.

Homebrewed IPAs offered to me by a friend. Both were made with Apollo and Comet hops, but the right was dry hopped with Chinook, while the left was dry hopped with Cascade.
