If you had to send one beer to a competition as a representation of the best product your state\country produces what would you send? Does not matter what style, but you only get one choice. Flat out, the best beer that comes out of your state\country.

Rules: it can be a brewery only beer but nothing that is DONG and it cannot be a beer that can no longer be attained*.

From Virginia I would send Williamsburg AleWerks Bitter Valentine

It is listed as brewed once, but it was actually made twice and will be a seasonal beer made around Valentine's day each year.

*basically don't post something that was brewed once ten years ago and was aged in barrels that previously held unicorn tears, I'd like to keep this where beers mentioned could one day be tried by most of us either by travel or reasonable trading.

I've always avoided these threads because of the lack of competitive brews made in Nevada. . . until late 2012 that is.

Hopalong Cassity-dipa (St. James Brasserie) is the best thing made in Nevada. Tastes like its fresh out of SD.

Mayan Maybe-old ale (Great Basin) is the best bottled beer in Nevada. Vanilla, chocolate, honey, smoked malt, 10% abv rarely tastes so good at 11am.

Both of these came out at the end of 2012.

Well, luckily for you this isn't a rare beer thread. The rules are actually quite simple, what is the best beer from your state. Best is different from rarest

I would have thought Heady for sure as the VT selection.

As for CT I will stick with NEBCO but go with Imperial Stout Trooper.

I can't disagree with any of those except for RI, even though the Narragansett Summer and the brew I listed are brewed by the same person.

However, I'd definitely give an honorable for Allagash White for Maine. Lunch is my favorite from Maine but Allagash White is up there too.

I'll go with Half Acre Daisy Cutter Pale Ale from Chicago. Tough call over GI Nightstalker and Half Acre Galaxy Double Daisy Cutter.
