Good Afternoon BAs! Just got back from eating lunch, luckily missing any rain on my walk there and back. Started off with Aslin Clear Nights IPA:

On the menu it's listed as a west coast IPA, but it isn't. While it does have some bitterness and is quite good, it's very fruity and looks like OJ. Next is Dancing Gnome Lustra Pale Ale with some chicken tacos:

Both very good as usual and finally Fat Head's Bone Head Imperial Red Ale:

First time having this, heavy, malty with a good balance of hops. Delicious!
    Cheers!

After a couple of badly oxidized Americans, I’ll go with a Swede, Hypnosis by Apex.

Day 3 of Journey, brewery number 3 - Burial Beer Co., Asheville NC, “Prophetmaker” Pale Ale:

Dry hopped with Citra, Nelson and Simcoe. A little cat pissy as beer warms. Grapefruit, bitter lemon peel, earthy tropical fruit, musty white grape skins. Full and fluffy from oats. I like. Cheers y’all!

Hello again my VB amigos! Thanks @DoctorZombies for 3845. Shifting sands of rehearsals for rock n roll bands leaves me FREE today & night! Of course now my old laptop is starting to flounder so it took me 30 min to log in here....FFS. I'm enjoying a Summit Hazy Saga IPA, the last one, and I do like the orig better. Hey! BAs I baked over to my old hood NE MPLS late this morning and took pics of some cool old dive bars. Sunny blue sky. Perfect pix day. Here's one of the amazing Grain Belt Brewery. I'll be uploading pix slowly. Cheers happy drinkers! Beer is beautiful.

Moved some beers from upstairs to downstairs. Going along with it, Tree House Bright, an IPA I often find is danker than my personal preference, and that's certainly true today, as well - but it's very, very good.

A new local one to me

    Desert Edge - Phantasmagorian

[IMG] Canned within the last week, beer is new

Poured at fridge temp into a weizen glass

Pours a slightly hazy orange with a soft and full head

Big grapefruit and citrus rind/peel aroma, slight bit of citrus tartness

Grapefruit, malty and some lightly butter hops

Booze isn't noticeable but certainly 'feelable' as you drink more and more, that 8% hits hard at least for me.

Overall while not my favorite style, this is certainly one of my favorites of the style as the grapefruit ripens and matures beautifully as the beer warms up.

    I rated it a 3.96 BA-DB

Wow ... I mentioned Bright is too dank for me, but I wasn't suspecting that to be a one-sip-and-done scenario. I just absolutely could not take it, not with my gag reflex (get your jokes in :stuck_out_tongue: ). Shifting gears in a big way.

I found it to be to sweet and somewhat medicinal. Not enough mosaic to much malt for me.

There will be a nice sized box heading your way this weekend, plenty of tasty beers complete with goodies.

    Cheers!

One for the road - “A Disease of Virtuous People”, billed as a WC IPA:

Simcoe, Riwaka and Cascade. 60 IBU. Tastes fine, but I’m not getting much bitterness, and no pine. A good beer, but WC? Cheers!
