Pipeworks Ninja vs. Unicorn DIPA. Yellow grapefruit, lemon zest, navel orange, bright floral, some guava, grapefruit peel, earthy dank, resinous pine with a bready and slight honey-drizzled biscuit malt to balance. Like any good Midwest IPA, this one is balanced, but hop-forward with a dry and bitter finish. A Chicago classic.

Out on the deck watching the hockey game. Enjoying my favorite neipa Other Half - All Citra Everything. Idk I think it’s a neipa? It’s my favorite new beer I’ve tried recently along with Fat Heads IBUsive. Cheers BAs!

Back form the ballfields. The youngest's team has a 2 game win streak after starting 0-5. He pitched a clean inning tonight with a strike out and a a lot of help from his infielders. Back on the porch watching the dog do dog stuff out on the yard while I'm here with the GOAT-Heady Topper. Cheers!

    look: 3.75 | smell: 3.75 | taste: 4 | feel: 4 | overall: 4

Clear yellow body; sparse carbonation; thin yet lasting white head; sheeting and fingers of foam grace the plastic cup. Delicate sense of toasted grain smell; faint herbal notes. Really nice toasted grain flavor; a mineral-like; slight presence of esters, yellow stone fruits; medium-light hop bitterness. Medium-light mouthfeel; rounded mouthfeel; a deft touch of residual sugar sweetness with a subtler sense of dryness.

Outer Range did a nice job brewing this kölsch. It is very easy drinking and has a wonderfully nuanced flavor and feel to it.

...enjoyed a nice melt-in-your mouth prime rib dinner at 'The Big Steer' restaurant next door to my hotel...had a couple of nice Iowa beers there, too (see my earlier posts)...
