Wait, did you actually send me this? I have my last three boxes all kind of mixed together in the fridge, and Jay sent me a bunch of Tired Hands.

My bad for the wrong tag! Yeah, I thought it was super unique and very tasty. 16 ounces might be a bit much, though lol.

The French name sounds much more appealing than the translation. (The Pig's Foot) Glad your meal also was better than meets the eye. Usually the eye and smell test is pretty accurate, but lucky for you, not in this case.

This is one of my favorite, have way too much beer but glad I picked up a four pack at the brewery. Looking forward as always to your stops as you approach Colorado.

I got so many beers this weekend, it is taking elaborate tracking and other methods to keep track of which is which. It will take me a while to get it just right to post my remaining beer acquisitions from Friday and Sunday. Thankfully, I have so much I won't have to buy new beer well into the Summer.

Enjoyed reading about your exploits in Paris! I also would like to extend a welcome (not a warm one because it is too hot in Puerto Rico) to new WBAYDN Beer Advocate @Rootz1984 ! Welcome to the Board, and I look forward to reading about the beers you share with us from home!

Cellar clearing for me, this one from last Summer/Fall (Sept 16th canning).

In Phoenix on vacation with Mrs O, is there anything better than a pool beer before noon? I say no. This is the “new recipe” Fat Tire, and the biscuity malt I so loved in thee OG is MIA.

That’s a shame. Glad I tried it, but not something I’d revisit.

The food looks good! There use to be a restaurant in Georgetown in Washington DC with the same name, all the great chefs would hang out there after hours (early morning hours) drinking and eating like madmen, I believe Bourdain once joined them.

    1) Utepils Skölsch! (4.9%):
A Kölsch-style beer from Minnesota with flavors of grassy and floral yeast. A smooth bready body.
    versus
    2) Fair State Köld (4.7%): A Kölsch-style ale from Minnesota with flavors of vinous, citrus, and orchard-fruit yeast flavors atop a pale malt body. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

    Winner:
    2) Fair State Köld:
A Twin City Kölsch battle. A Utepils traditional and a very good one here. Grassy yeast with smooth bread malts. Going up a new one from Fair State. Fair State's has a dry, fruity, yet slightly bitter yeast. Very complex and authentic. I think I prefer Utepils smooth and bready malt flavors, but I think Fair State is more yeasty and authentic to the Kölsch style. Both are top-notch and may be the best of the style from the area.
