Condolences to you and your family on the loss of your cousin @TheIPAHunter . Tragic to lose life at such a young age. Prayers sent your way to get you through this time.

Hope you are able to make it work, it was awesome meeting the two Daves/Davids, Colorado Dave for the first time. He's even nicer in person than online, if that is possible.

Haven't had a beer day off since February 1, 2020. Going for Cal Ripken's streak on WBAYDN (3/14/2020 2702 + 2,632 straight = 5334) 1,159 down, 1,473 to go.

• Should of grabbed a four pack of the Wolf @DoctorZombies . That beer is choice!
• Founders Blushing Monk is one of my favorite beers of all time @mschrei (Pronounced Mizrachi aka "The Grinder" of poker fame on my end).
• @JayORear - Surly is a great space, they can't sell to go based on their size/production volume per Minnesota law, IIRC.
• Glad you enjoyed Hop Butcher For The World's Cali Cool @Ocalafox ! It's my new Chicago brewed WCIPA still in production (RIP Navaja and Bike Messenger Appreciation).

This is such a special beer. Here is a professional photograph from last weekend's epic BeerAdvocate gathering in Sheboygan, WI, as well as the killshot from Friday's beer share. The only bottle missing was the Toppling Goliath KBBS that @azuelke pulled out of his Marcellus Wallace briefcase.

@Beer-Panda, I understand brewing your own beer is advisable in Norway. In the new country, when you host an Althing of BeerAdvocates, you typically have beers offered to you in mass quantities. Which is helpful today. Here is one from the myth known as @bsytle. Thought to be lost to time. He is part of history, but he will emerge again.

 

Day 19 of the Journey, brewery number 20 - Defiance Brewing Co., drinking “Looking Glass” - IPA:



Skunky earthy citrus nose/taste. Good balance of malt and bitter hops. An above average American IPA.

Skipped my breakfast “coffee” to get rolling early this morning; I’ve been on the road 5 hours to hit Defiance…my campground is not to much further down the road. Cheers from Hays, KS!

Thanks for posting, will help me recollect the ones I tried. The only one I don't see which was awesome (hope Adam kept the rest as there was some left) was the Shared BA Ambiente , my favorite of the ten or so I tried at the share.

My only regrets were peeps didn't get to the De Garre and BFM Abbey I also brought, and not being able to hit the early Saturday share / meet Jeanie again.

@beergoot - Your song selection from yesterday (IIRC). I need to try the one can I kept of the Dovetail Grodziskie. I get a much more stronger smoke sausage flavor, at least from prior batches. Will try to confirm tomorrow whether this current batch has deviated from prior versions. Glad you at least somewhat liked it.

 

Home from mowing my daughter's yard. Still a little grouchy from the process. On the deck now, unwinding with a Triptych Mirai, a rustic, unfiltered lager with rice. A collaboration with Japan House for their 25th anniversary. Retired life is grand! I don't think I'm wanted anywhere, so I'll show my face.

Hello BAs! Thanks @mushroomcloud for starting us off here from Japan! Today is the 2nd day here with wildfire sky haze. Smoke has fortunately remained high up so the sky has kind of a yellow glow. Canadian fires. So, I'm not gonna run any miles since the air quality is meh. Not horrible but meh. BEER TIME and I'll seize the moment to get a beery little work out: swap winter tires for summer tires on truck #2 with this Destihl Deadhead WCIPA. Excellent beer. Kanpai!!
