Done with work fr the day and got dinner prepped so relaxing with a Be Hoppy. T-Storms in the area but so far they've been going southwest of me - I can hear the thunder nearby but nothing immediately threatening.

An absolute Patio Pounder , lovely Czech lager with all the reminiscent bready / malt notes.

Super clean and slightly floral. Cheers BA!

Lots of smoke outside from the Canadian wildfires. Never seen anything like this

The sunrise looked incredible this morning - just a big red disk in the sky from the smoke. I wanted to get a picture but couldn't get a clear shot without trees. Was quite impressive.

Dark, opaque brown body; nice thick head, light khaki color and semi-creamy. Gentle roasted dark grain scent; dark chocolate. Great taste; mildly sweet dark roasted grain; cocoa; suggestion of vanilla and milk chocolate; subtle bitterness. Heavy body; rich and silky; touch of boozy heat.

Billed as an imperial brown ale, it hits on all cylinders overall.

Would've joined @tekstr1der with a High Life today, but today is 3 mile walk $2 beer Tuesday in these parts. Today's brews, Goose Island Summertime Kolsch and an excellent Noon Whistle Gummypocalypse. The Noon Whistle is a double NEIPA at 8.2% abv, featuring Simcoe, Citra, And El Dorado hops. Just outstanding! Cheers!

    1) Junkyard Universal Exports (5.3%): A DDH Italian Pilsner from Minnesota with Saphir hops for flavors of light citrus, floral and tea notes. Earthy.
    versus
    2) Crooked Stave New Zealand Pilsner (5.4%): A New Zealand Pilsner from Colorado with flavors of lemon citrus, floral and tea note with a tropical note within. Smooth. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

    Winner:
    2) Crooked Stave New Zealand Pilsner:
Hoppy Pilsner Battle. Second try at Universal Exports from Junkyard and drinks very similar to the first. Earthy and tea-like flavors. A little too much. Sort of muted with some of that tea flavor I get in non-alcoholic beers. Crooked Stave did well with this New Zealand Pilsner. Citrusy, floral, and tropical. Hoppy like an IPL, but still has a smooth pilsner grain malt to give it some body.
