Enjoying a Firestone Walker Wookey Jack on draft at Edgewild. Their beer list is great and it’s 5 minutes from my house. I suspect I will be posting from here on occasion. I need to add it to the places menu.

 

Now enjoying a Duchesse Petite. This is delicious. Nice and tart.

 

Neither of us felt like dicking with tacos tonight, so bacon, mushroom, garlic w/extra cheese pizza and bacon ranch tater tots from Dominos......pretty dad gum great! Oh and an Enjoy by 07/04/2023......

 

One of the best Citra Pale Ales out there. Cheers my friend!

Poured into a 16 oz Snulip glass canned in late May, they mark cans but this one was missed, last week. Pours an attractive hazy yellow with a finger plus sticky white head that leaves thick streaks of lace with nice retention. 4.25

Aroma is peach, lime, tangerine, pine, apricot, and grapefruit rind. 4

Taste follows peach, tangerine, pine, apricot, lime, and a little grapefruit. 4

Mouthfeel is a little bigger than average, gentle carbonation, not sticky or dry, and 7% it drinks like that. 4

Overall this is good, nothing I can’t wait to sip again, but still nice. 4 Cheers all.

So my Canadian brother from another mother was on Music and Mezcal on YouTube and gave me a special shout out the other day
The third song was dedicated to me and he used to play it every Friday when he did his Friday Night Bass Therapy sessions during the pandemic.

Canadian wildfire smoke (no @LarryV that is not a euphemism) has been tearing my throat up during the last few days. Got the AC on to help clean the air. Damn you, you hoser heads.

But a man has to eat. So, have grilled some brat and having a beer.

 

Gnosis Hi-Res Lopez TIPA (Citra, Galaxy, Nelson Sauvin). NE TIPA's are hard to do and this is a valiant effort. Not lacking in the hop department. There's some hop burn and it's quite boozy when cold. However, as it warms the hop character does become more complex and juicy and the booziness fades a bit. Drippy passionfruit, yellow grapefruit, green gooseberry, ripe tangelo, kiwi, some guava, orange and grapefruit peel, lime, rose water, earthiness, resinous pine. Dense and soft feel, but chalky. I'm enjoying this as it warms. Very solid stuff.

Black Raven + Fort George Goldfish Tears IPA. Kinda in the neighborhood of a brut IPA, but not quite. Tasty, though!

 

This one is good, not amazing.
