I probably will have just two or three drinks tonight which for me is hard to do. It is easier for me to have no booze than just a few.

Anyway, the reason is my wife hurt her knee last night but continued to try to do things which led to a fall. Thankfully she did not hit her head but she did really mess up her ankle. Could not walk. Somehow I got her upstairs to bed. Just call me Superman. Been waiting on her what seems like every half hour ever sense. Even have to help her to the bathroom. I think I climbed up and down the stairs more today than I usually do in a month in total! My legs are screaming what the f**k is wrong with you old man.

So there it is. It will be two or three then out. Wine and bourbon will have to wait a few more days.

Threw some beef in the slow cooker this morning for tacos tonight. Seared off the rump roast, then made almost a paste of chopped fresh cilantro, chopped Chiles in Adobo, tomato paste, brown sugar, cumin, oregano, garlic, shallot, cider vinegar, smoked salt, pepper slathered the beef in that, surrounded by beef stock and some beer then let her ride.

About 7 hrs in…


Needs another hour or so and we shall be ready to go. Fresh salsa verde on deck too.
