    1) Toppling Goliath King Sue (7.8% canned 4/14/23): A NEIPA from Iowa since 2014 brewed with Citra hops and has flavors of orange citrus, pineapple, and tropical mango.
    versus
    2) Toppling Goliath Electric Dino Boogie (7.8% canned 2/27/23): A NEIPA from Iowa/Tx collab with Pinthouse Brewing with Simcoe, Citra, and Galaxy for flavors of juicy orange, cantaloupe and peach, tropical fruit with a touch of pine and dank herbal notes.
    versus
    3) Toppling Goliath Places I’ve Been (7.8% canned 6/12/23): A NEIPA from Iowa with flavors of orange, green guava, pineapple, papaya. Tropical, sticky with a piney bitterness. (Correctly matched all three beers blind)

TG Haze Battle, and these are always fun. The OG, an old, and fresh one. Not really fair to call a winner. Electric Dino Boogie still holding on by a thread. Flavors are much less pronounced than when fresh, but still complex with Simcoe flavors predominating. Both this one and King Sue holding up fantastic with age. Places I've Been is another collab with Radiant Brewing. A pungent NEIPA here with unknown hops. I'm getting green guava, papaya, pineapple. Tropical, but a decent piney bitterness off the end. Fantastic today, but have a feeling the tropical, sticky-icky, and pungent qualities of this won't hold up as well with age and to be determined at a later time...

Two Gruner Bros. Hell's Hef Acre Hefeweizen. Shit! Survey sez that's an acre! It's okay. Mild expressions. On the lighter side and clear. Too dark to be Kristall Weiss-style. I shot a little bit of lemon in it for the last 4 slugs and it just made it a bit less edgy. Cheers BAs!!

That's a lot of snow for PA in June haha.

I'll join you with a Helles as well.

Always nice to revisit this classic fave, tho I do prefer the new canned recipe by an ever so slight margin.

Just wondering what is the bottling date on your SNPA? We rarely see it less than 90 days in NJ.

Pours an orange-brown color, a bit cloudy in the glass; initial thick head, light khaki colored and somewhat creamy texture. Initial whiff of barrel wood then a bold caramel presence; dark pitted fruit sweetness. Big flavor; caramel sweetness, candi sugar and brown sugar; figs; whiskey. Heavy body; boozy warmth oozing up through lightly sticky residual sugars.

A generally nicely crafted barrel aged beer.
