    1) Toppling Goliath Haze Bus (7.8% canned 4/24/23): A NEIPA from Iowa with Simcoe, Mosaic, and Citra for flavors of orange flower, pineapple, mango, and light coconut notes.
    versus
    2) Phase 3 DDH Later Gator (7.8% canned 5/23/23): A NEIPA from Illinois with HBC-586 and Mosaic for flavors of guava, lychee, berries, and mango. Lightly herbal. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

    Winner:
    2) Phase 3 DDH Later Gator:     Fourth of July Weekend Haze Battle. Toppling Goliath makes a pretty good one here. It's got standard hops in Citra, Mosaic, and Simcoe, but has a unique coconut flavor that I'm not exactly sure where it comes from. Not exceptional, but very good and on par for Toppling Goliath.
    Phase 3 keeps continually making fresh haze and probably doesn't get enough credit amongst the many breweries in Chicago. Nice combo of Mosaic and HBC586. Intensely tropical with a distinct mango and berry flavor. It's more fresh and DDH so probably an advantage here. Excellent NEIPA.

    This is Ofarlig (Not Dangerous) by Omaka. Omaka is a brewery/restaurant started by the Spendrup family, one of the main macro brewers in Sweden. This is supposed to be a NE IPA with Nelson but wow. It’s a fruity, very mediocre IPA with zero traces of Nelson or any other NZ hops. This is plain bad.
