What beer are you drinking now? #3907

Drinking a really great light beer - Piglette, a tart and funky Grisette from Brewery Bhavana, Raleigh NC:



Mild horse blanket/funk nose; tart pear/clean cracker malt. Clean crisp dry light effervescent. Outstanding! Cheers y’all!

 

1) Veltins Pilsner (4.8% canned 2/2022): An authentic German Pils with flavors of pale Munich malts with hints of flower
versus
2) Einbecker Brauherren Pils (4.9% canning L2300): An authentic German Pils with flavors of grassy and spicy hops with an earthy pale Munich malt. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

Winner:
2) Einbecker Brauherren Pils: German Pils Battle. Two favorites of mine. Veltins is good, but fell off a bit being older. Unfortunately the store is still selling these dates. Einbecker is possibly my new favorite. No idea what the date code means, but drinks fresh. Grassy, spicy, and earthy. Lots of great flavors here. Quite an excellent and underrated German Pils.

Got caught up on a lot of inside family drama I knew nothing about. Hilarious. Time to tip over some beers. Summit Triumphant Session IPA. I have it frequently. Stepping up my chill afternoon with an Eisboch Lager from @GrumpyGas - Jötunheimr by Pollyanna Brewing Company, St. Charles, IL:




My kinda boozy (10%) lager; not like those high abv Euro lagers you find in mini marts overseas - this beer is malty and majestic! Thanks Kevin! I owe you for turning me onto this American brewed “style” of big Lager!
