    Welcome to the club. My wife is horrified when she catches me mouthing the countertop in the kitchen after I pour some beers, even though I'm doing her a service by cleaning said countertop. But let's bask in the human here, and enjoy that a few drops here and there for the ancestors are well spent and nothing too much to worry about. Cheers!

    Joining @Ocalafox with a Ruthless Rye-same bottling date. I know this was Sierra Nevada's Fan Favorites pack, but I never had 3 of the 4 beers, this being one of them. Pretty darn good. Cheers!

    No, not an astonishing beer, but decent enough. Plus, the brewery is not located in Berlin but is interesting that they've offered (for export, at least?) some Berlin-themed history. This beer features the Kaiser Wilhelm Kirche in Berlin (off the Ku'damm and virtually next to the Zoo). While stationed in then-West Berlin in the mid- to late-80s, the church was a rather sobering reminder of what war can bring to civilization. As for the beer, I'm assuming this is the brauerei's repackaging of their normal schwarzbier.

    ...the baby back ribs look like they'll turn out just fine...

    Very good strategy. A mind is a terrible thing to waste.

    Seems more than half the beer I drink regularly comes in 16 and 16.9 (MBC) ounce bottles/cans. For whatever reason (probably early dementia) I do not care to pour the entire 16 ounces into a glass. I usually make it two pours.

    Lost in the back of the stube no more! Fair State Kold Kolsch. @Nugganooch scope out this pour. Kolsch can be unpredictable. At least it's proper glassware :grin: Cheers!

    1. 90% of beer goes in the 45 degree tilt glass with no glug glug glug agitation until foam reaches top. Stop. Set glass flat.

    2. Head recedes slightly from the bottom, then drizzle very slowly, with stops so there's no overflow which results in some of the common ailments of mature marriage kitchen-related strife, drizzle remaining brewzinskie directly into the center of the head/cap.
