    Happy Independence Day!
A little rain dampened our spirits initially but it cleared right at the start of the parade.

That’s the thing with Jai Alai, the hops fade and it’s malt forward at about 8 weeks. Still enjoyable, but not the same beer imo. Cheers!

    1) Fair State Strong Friend Moves (4.5%): A German Pilsner from Minnesota with flavors of lemongrass, floral notes. Crisp and clean.
    versus
    2) Fair State Pilsner (5.1%): A German Pilsner from Minnesota with flavors of lemongrass, yeast, and dry flower. Finishes bitter. (Mismatched the two beers blind)

    Winner:
    1) Fair State Pilsner
: Two great pilsners from Fair State. Strong Friend Moves is new. Slightly grassy, earthy, yet crisp and bitter. Slightly crispier and cleaner than their flagship Pilsner. Both are excellent and extremely similar. Great couple of pilsners to open up on The Fourth.

Happy 4th of July BAs!! and greetings to all international BAs! Thanks @DoctorZombies for 3909. Went out a short while ago with my lady for a quick lunch and we ended up at a little joint near our home called The Tavern Grill. Very good prices, tasty food well beyond pub grub and 8 of the 12 tap beers are Minnesota breweries. Cool. I had 2 pints of Voyageur Abide Amber/Red Lager. 2nd one had a nice head. Damn good beer. Not to mention the brie pizza. Cheers!

I have always loved the Ray Charles "country" albums, but this one and Genius + Soul=Jazz were always my favorites. My Dad and I would play these during the 4th, leading up to and during our big block parties. My job, as a kid, was to hold the door open when my Dad was taking in or going to the grill with huge plates of meat, keeping the coolers filled with beer wine and drinks for me and the rest the kids, and turning the albums over when one side was done (now my nephew is doing all that, but since all the music is on a streaming service...oh well) :sunglasses:

Anyway, The Genius of Ray Charles spinning. Torpedo IPA in the glass.
