Hello friends. Thanx @EdmundExley for 3931. This thread sure has generated some attention as of late. I will just say "The new broom sweeps clean, but the old broom knows every corner."
Rcv'd 2+ inches of rain over night. Incredible storm. In fact, it hit us when I was about to post a beer...about 1:30am and I was pulled away. Didn't feel like starting this thread and then buggering off for 12 hours. Very hot here today so a cold brew is right. 56 Brewing Loud & Proud Pride Pale Ale w Honey. Another outstanding local offering. Cheers!

 

As I continue "drinking down the cellar", I found this from 2012 and a couple from '14. IMHO, this held up well, a bit of a head and no noticeable "green pepper", this held up well, bottled 09/06/12.

Yeah brother. Breakin' it up. Cross training (if I've used the term correctly). As a novice habit runner, with the temps and shite-like air quality this summer, I really like the bicycle. I notice a distinct improvement in hips, lower back and a wee bit of core. AND it's low impact. Strangely tho my hands and arms are asking questions. Cheers to you and your amazing running discipline!

This is called "the massif des Vosges". We started at the ski resort Le Gaschney. Highest mountain tops in this region go about 1280m.

 

The last one went down too quickly. One more then I'm grabbing lunch for the family. Probably pizzas from the cafe.

1) Einbecker Brauherren Pils (4.9%): An authentic German Pils with flavors of bread yeast, light flower. Crisp and clean.
versus
2) Ayinger Bairisch Pils (5.2%): An authentic German Pils with flavors of pale earthy Munich malts, bread and yeast. Smooth.
(Correctly matched the two beers blind)

Winner:
1) Einbecker Pils: German Pilsner Battle. Two of the higher rated ones, so knew this was going to be good. Ayinger is a classic for me and makes one of the best version for just about every beer. The Pilsner is no different. Slightly heavier and smooth. Einbecker is surprisingly good. Bready, yeasty, yet crisp. Similar bitterness but Einbecker seemed more robust overall. Definitely worth a try if you find it.

 

And rewrote the lexicon of American literature while doing it
