What's up BA's. This one is fantastic. Great bitterness and grapefruit pith. My kind of IPA! Back to work tomorrow, my summer of eating a big hunk of cheese is over.

 

Jester King Atrail Rubicite wild ale at the brewery. Just dropped yesterday and it is very good! Was lucky to be in the neighborhood since my wife had a dance competition in San Antonio where she did very well. This is my reward for ongoing support!

Have a good Sunday. Had a good open water swim at Caswell Beach. Julia jinxed it by telling me she got stung by a jellyfish in Brazil. So I got stung in the side of my lung lol. It's sore and looks like a welt.

We drove up to the end of oak island in search of beer and food and we found it.


Lonerider shotgun betty. Awesome hefe! Aromas and flavors of orange, lemon, pear, apple, banana, bubblegum, clove, peppercorn, wheat, bread dough, herbal, floral, grass, yeast earth. Lt med herbal bitterness, yeast spiciness and wheat tang/ tartness on the finish. Medium plus carb and medium body. Fairly crisp finishing. Very flavorful refreshing. Minimal warming 5.8%. Spot on style with a wonderful complex German yeast profile. 4.25

Pours a very murky mauve color.
Taste is similar to sake, but different.
I think it would be great with some Asian food, as I had it while snacking on some pork dumplings.
It's definitely different.
