I was fortunate enough to meet up with him and his wife many years ago at the Gäubodenvolksfest in Straubing. Count me in as a donor on Gofundme.
I also was fortunate enough to meet him. He made a stop on his trip to parts north of Frankfurt with a gifted case of beer from the Regensburg area. That was very kind of him, and though we only had time to speak for about 20 minutes, he seemed like a super kind, gentle and generous man. Thank you @Bierman9 for posting this. BA has missed him, for there wasn't anyone else here before or after with his passion and knowledge of the Bayern beer community in his area.
