I’ll toast your birthday with La Trappe Quadrupel.

    Definitely the best La Trappe.

Back from a session with the physical therapist. She says I am doing well. I think I am, too. Minimal pain, no problem playing golf.

    @Beer-Panda

La Trappe Isid’Or also is a great one but as far as easily available La Trappe beers here, it’s the best.

The weather is pretty autumn like today here, so it was fitting. Cheers!

We’re at Bucket Brigade Brewery in Cape May Court House. Starting with Exit 10, an American Strong Ale. Caramel, lite citrus, and strong, earthy bitterness. It’s an unusual recipe but I’m digging it. Thursdayc cheers!

    Happy sunny and cool Thursday!

was messing with my nearly 50 year old Schwinn Le Tour road bike this week - gf and I rode the Towpath trail near me, down to the R. Shea Canal Place brewery location on Tuesday - about 10 miles round trip! Great to have such an amazing resource literally in my backyard - can bike to 5 breweries from this 100+ mile long trail, right from home - pretty awesome!

Japanese made frame (Panasonic I believe) and a really nice road bike! Many thousands of miles since I got this at age 16!

    Good Afternoon Advocates!

What a beauty of a Fall-like day here. The humidity is gone, barely 70°, and a stiff breeze.

Gotta be a nice change for our friend @Ocalafox, who should be here in NH shortly.

I'm going without Tree House today, instead starting with this winner from Spyglass.

3rd can on 3 separate occasions. Perhaps my fave NEIPA of all time, including top TH.

This one is just perfection on my palate. Every time.

EDIT: Darn tempted to go 5's across the board!!

    Cheers BAs!

Another intriging ale at Bucket Brigade Brewery: Sweet Baby Molasses, an American Brown Ale. It also has a nice earthy bitterness and the molasses emerges as it warms. It’s a tad thin in feel and there’s a slightly distracting cola taste but the concept is great and this one has real potential. Plus I like that this brewery is owned by retired firefighters. Cheers!

Cool 48° this morning, so I've been splitting and stacking firewood. As the temp warms I slow down and start looking for a beer. Today a good one out of Montana.

Oh man. Two outstanding beers in row. BAs, I've sailed thru a couple of American Oktos in the past couple of weeks and this drop from Goose Island is really winning. Just hits all the targets. Masterful and true asking no questions and revealing only facts. Cheers!

Scorched Earth GIant Killer IPA purchased at the local Binny's for a pick six. No date on the can, seems a bit stale. Will probably give this another shot at the brewery.

Taproom Beer Notes: 5.75% ABV American Pale Ale. $7 16 oz draft plus tax.

Citra and Mosiac meet over the most beautiful clear pale ale you ever did see, taste and smell!

Appearance: Narrow nonic pour, crystal clear straw golden base, persistent mild carbonation, bright white head with fine bubble lacing, creamy, also covers the base. Significant lacing clinging for dear life. 4.5

Aroma: Enjoying immediately after the glass was placed in front of me. Nice citrus pine blend, getting significant dankness. 4.25

    Taste:
Consistent with aroma, citrus and pine leaf, mango follows. Dank was less on the tongue. Flavors blend well. 4.25

    Mouthfeel:
Significantly dry, light bitterness rises above the sweet flavors to keep things on point. Drinks above the abv, though still manageable. Catbonation gentle to fizzy carbonation adds depth to the light watery body. Light pine dry finish. 4.5

    Overall:
Another winner at Hop Butcher, their beers really hit the zone on my end. Love the traditional hops, full flavor and proper balance and traditional style. Definitely a future acquisition target. 4.5
