    jalapeno jelly is done. doesn't look great now, but once it cools off i'm hoping it will be very nice - i like mine chunky. will hopefully use it for pork belly burnt ends, and as some rib glaze this weekend

    @RaulMondesi living La Vida Loca BA brother, so jealous! Hope to hit those places in the next few years. Da Boss and i are heading to Italy in 2.5 weeks and hoping this trip goes well for her and if so i hold out hope for Belgium and Germany.

    I was at The Yard House in Greenville, SC for lunch earlier today. This place is an American chain restaurant that is pretty solid and it so happens to have 100 or so brews on tap. My go to is Chimay Blue when we dine there but today i had my first flat one i ever had there which is so disappointing! So, i had to find a bottle in my beer fridge to wash away the bad experience. Here to report Chimay Blue is still solid! Happy unofficial Belgian Beer day!

    ...long day of smoking meats...using mesquite for everything...finished up eight chicken thighs about an hour ago, baby back ribs smoking now, a bunch of bratwurst to follow around 7PM or so...
