We’ll catch up on the thread when I get back. A rare new to me beer is next from Spiteful (because I have tried a large portion of their catalog.

Spiteful Brewing El Dorado Time



Taproom notes: $8 16 oz draft nonic glass pour. Based on Alley Time but using El Dorado hops.

Appearance: Golden clear light straw base, creamy fine bubble lacing covers base and provides significant lacing. 4.0

Aroma: Nice aroma yielding dank weed, citrus, pine and lemongrass. Mild in strength. 3.75

Taste: Very nice, close to the aroma but with the El Dorado tropical fruit, peach, orange starburst, pine all delivering with the subtle menthol Newport notes I get with a few of their offerings that I love. All held together with a dank bitter hop presence that keeps this balanced and suited to my tastes. 4.5

Mouthfeel: Thin to medium body, gentle light gentle carbonation adds depth. Significant bitterness balances out the strong and wonderful flavors. Drinks light and easy, lower than the ABV. Bitter dry finish, wonderful peach coning through. 4.5

Overall: Spiteful really pairs well with my taste preferences and this is no exception. In your face flavor and bitter strength, great flavors, wonderful drinking experience. Love Alley Time. Love this El Dorado take even more. 4.5

Don’t see this smallish Chicago brewery in this thread or Great Lakes much, but if you are in the area, it’s well worth a stop.

First post in the new house. Previous owner left a beer fridge with a few really really old corona bottles, and this one fresh Rolling Rock (never had it before). Tastes fine to me!
