Miller Lite at Bonefish......

 

Beautiful Chicago afternoon. At the best brewery within a short 2 mile walk of home. New to me Kolsch, yes please!

Une Annee Kolsch



Brewery Notes: 4.4% ABV Kolsch Style Ale. $12 Cheeseburger, Fries & Beer Monday Special.

Appearance: 16 oz draft pour into a narrow Pilsner glass. Straw golden crystal clear pour, steady carbonation throughout, bright white generous head leaves a very creamy cover over the base. 4.25

Aroma: Bread, salt and pepper, mild in strength, a bit higher in pull. 3.5

Taste: Consistent with the aroma but stronger. Digging the nice salt pepper combo, nice hops malt mix. 4.0

Mouthfeel: Dry crisp pour, drinks nice and easy, like the ABV. Borders Pils style hops prevalence, cracker finish. 4.25

Overall: This is a nice light and easy Kolsch, a little hoppier than usual, lots of pils vibes but hits the spot and style well. Yes please. 4.0

Having a Stone IPA. Been pouring rain all day here in Central MA ...

 

This one is almost perfect. Serious wow factor for me. Rainy Monday made better after one sip. Cheers all.

Spirit World Mango Sour

 

Not sure whether I prefer this or the Hacker Pschorr Märzen, but I'm certain I love both.

 

Didn’t feel like eating another new beer, so back to a returning favorite I haven’t had in a long time.

As good as I remember. They have fine wild sours here.

 

A new one from Tilted Barn while starting to make a bolonese ragu.
This beer is absolutely incredible. One of the best Ive had from TB. And thats saying something.

 

Happy Monday BAs! 'Tis the season, so I'm drinking a local festbier from Sons of Kent. It's a decent substitute for the real German article. Cheers!

@Dethark - Glad you enjoyed your Pliny The Elder. I still remember my first, and many after. I served a sip to my two year old nephew, sort of liked it but said it was spicy.

@champ103 - Glad you are visiting our state with my favorite month of weather each year, though surprised Moe doesn’t have a blanket or sweater on, probably to excited exploring to notice.

Finishing my beer here, than a stop at the store, one final stop may be in my itinerary before heading home.

Decent burger, liked the fries seasoning, $12 bucks for this and a solid Kolsch. I’ll be back soon.
