Started off the night with a Goldfinger Pils. One of the best examples of the style in Chicagoland and probably the Midwest imho. These guys just know how to make delicate and nuanced lager.


Currently enjoying Hop Butcher Bughouse Square DIPA (Citra, Mosaic, Simcoe, Nelson). This one really impressed me about 3 years ago when it was first made. I don't enjoy their DIPA and TIPA like I used to, but this one still delivers the goods. Does the all star hop combo justice. Orange sherbet, ripe navel orange, mango sorbet, ruby red grapefruit, passionfruit, lemon peel, some white grape, lychee, some guava, floral, grass, citrus pith, pine resin. Not too sweet with a nice bitterness. That classic Hop Butcher pillowy soft feel. Can't deny that this one is outstanding.
