A beautiful day before Thanksgiving. Played my last round of golf until next week and enjoyed an Elevated IPA after.

 

King Sue is my go-to NEIPA for sure. Sadly, I haven’t seen it down here in St. Louis in months. We have everything else from TG.

Hard to beat Elevation on tap! Recently spent the night in ABQ while on a mission to drive a car to my daughter in PHX and it just so happened a Total Wine was a few blocks from our hotel in Uptown and so i made it a mission to pick up a four-pack for my stay in PHX. To get Elevation for the outstanding price of $8.99 was a nice deal! I also enjoyed the BJ's Brewhouse in the area, miss that place!

Onto round 2 and enjoying an outstanding Dunkel from Burial in Asheville.

Founders Breakfast Stout (8.3%): An Oatmeal Stout from Michigan with flavors of Belgian chocolate, coffee roast, and cinnamon spice. Coffee, chocolate, and roasted.

Not a better time to break into this gem than a cold Thanksgiving Weekend. Admittedly I'm a seasonal drinker. Dark beer only in the winter. I definitely do not like coffee beer, but this is an exception. Usually I start picking these up Jan/Feb time when the weather turns south, but it's too good of a beer to only enjoy two months out of the year. I don't know who at Founders approved the new and terrible bottle art, but that's problem for another time. Bring back The Baby!
Getting my palate adjusted and starting early this season. I'm going to try and fully appreciate this one this year. Happy Thanksgiving Eve BeerAdvocates!

Sorry to hear about that. It's their loss! Keep working at it and I'm sure you'll find a liquor store looking for someone who knows craft beer. After all, it's San Diego, one of the beer mecca's of the U.S.!

 

Sierra Nevada Celebration IPA (Cascade, Centennial, Chinook). Rich bready and caramel malts balance out a hefty dose of spruce, earthy dank, and citrus. Never get tired of this one.
