Barrel Aged Almond Pop b2 by Equilibrium Brewery

After letting this sit for almost 17 mo, this still packs lots of flavor. Marshmallow & Vanilla dominate but cake almond flavors come into the equation towards the bottom of the bottle. No hints of bourbon but is alcohol is there

 

Had dinner at Troubles End with friends tonight. Started with a mug of The Editor (English Bitter) from the beer engine

Then a half liter of Feller, a Dark Mild

 

And finally Conductor (English Porter)

 

Well that place sounds awesome. I always enjoy a beer lineup like that.

Had dinner at La Cabra Brewing's Smokehouse in Bryn Mawr. Great beer, and pretty good barbeque too.

My inlaws are over for Christmas Eve lunch, they brought a six pack of Susquehanna Ten Finger Ale. Its a hazy pale ale

 

They also brought a pack of the Lancaster Brewing Shoo Fly Pie Porter

What did you think of this one? I had one over the summer. It was ok, but the friend who brought it back raved about it. So many variables have me wondering.

 

I guess its the molasses that gives it a bit of unique taste. Similarly, I thought it was just okay but I wasnt the biggest fan. But I like most actual Shoo Fly Pies

Style tick #106. Interesting beer. The high alcohol has a bit of a gasoline burn, which sounds awful but is strangely enjoyable.
