I think it could use a little more spiciness

Absolutely, "A few weeks" is a subjective term when it comes to hoppy beers like that and opinions are all over the board. Personally, 6 weeks or less is the sweet spot for most but every hoppy beer is different. Personally, I would never buy an IPA that's 3-4 months old. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Agreed with Jeff. But we also need to add that a lot of stores place these beers at room temp, thus making things worse.

And those same stores have their fridges packed with Buds, Coors, and Miller Lite.

Damn, you said it all! IPAs sitting on a warm shelf while the others you noted get refrigerated. I am sure there is a reason. Not a good one but one that reflects where their sales are.

Absolutely. It drives me crazy but I understand that it's a business decision. It's just ironic that they refrigerate the beers that could survive a nuclear explosion, but the beers that are essentially as sensitive as milk, are left out in a warm room for months on end.

I am impressed. My approval though would not be a good reference on your resume.

I have a store in town that gets a few beers that no one else seems to get. I don't frequent there but a couple of weeks ago (and prior actually) I purchased a 4 pk and and was from August. For me that's way out of range for hoppy IPAs - and I'm not date crazy. Can't even remember what it was but it was def fading. So I confronted the owner (quite an arrogant dude who inherited the store from his father)
They charge a dollar or two more on every item in the store over the store, my guy, not even a 1/4 mile away. He proceeds to tell me 180 days is good on a beer. Then starts telling me about "best practices" rotation as it applies to food and other perishable items. Apparently he forgot I've been in the industry a very large portion of my life. Full of BS artists out there trying to get the extra $ but spewing shit and adding a huge margin to FOMOs especially. Problem is many of us have become more educated aren't going to drop 20$ plus without checking dates, etc.

My favorite LZ song believe it or not. I love the haunting melody, lyrics and open tuning.
I actually had pretty much learned this a few years ago when I was more serious about playing. I had my twelve string tuned to Gsus4th and just left it there the whole summer. There are some cover that are amazing. I think this one is an incredible version.
