Let's Go Get Laid ~ Three Man Army

 

Good Sunday afternoon, gang. I'm trying a new NEIPA from Slack Tide, Temperature Break, hopped with a mix of New Zealand hops, including Kohatu, and Chinook. It's a nice, heavy, winter IPA. I just reviewed it on the New Beer Weekend thread. We're off to meet some friends at Somers Point Brewing for a few beers followed by dinner in a local Greek restaurant. Nice to have tomorrow off; I'm usually back home by now. Cheers!

This is tasting great right now.

 

1) MKE Pinsetter (4.8%): A Euro Dark Lager from Wisconsin with flavors of bittersweet chocolate, black malt, roast. Smooth.
versus
2) Modist Pretty Metal (4.5%): A Euro Dark Lager from Minnesota with flavors of bakers cocoa, black malt, mild roast. Clean and dry. (Mismatched the two beers blind)

Winner:
2) Modist Pretty Metal: Euro Dark Lager Battle. First is Modist Pretty Metal. It has great flavors of cocoa, dark malts, with a mild roast. Extremely drinkable and still dry.
Next is MKE Pinsetter. Pours similar, but slightly more bittersweet with lactose flavors. A nice Euro Dark, but preferred Modist Pretty Metal which is becoming one of my favorite dark lagers this time of year.

 

Only 74 more days until Opening Day...
