A great local brew here. Fifty-Fifty Tahoe American Lager. It’s so good, I might have another!

 

Half Acre '22 Benthic (Imperial Stout w/ toasted coconut and coffee aged in a bevy of different high quality bourbon barrels). Holding up well. The adjuncts are subdued, but still there. The barrels are what make this one special despite the age though. Very enjoyable.

Thanks for the Dire Straits! It’s been way too long since I’ve watched those videos.

 

Finishing up the last couple Celebrations for this year. I spent about 3 hours under the car today removing the bell housing, pressure plate, disc and flywheel. It's funny how at each step of the way there's 1 bolt that's just shy of impossible to get a socket on to get out. Moving to a Ram clutch next with a new friction ring on the aluminum Fidanza flywheel.

Eye doc said I was putting off cataract surgery too long. He can no longer provide an eyeglass lens that will correct my vision. Add it to the list.

Killing time while waiting on the ribs with a Liquid Mechanics/Comrade Brewing West Coast Cartel IPA. The hoppy aroma is just insane! It's very crisp and clean with notes of dank weed/floral and pine. They hit a home run with this one! I can't wait for their next collaboration with Westbound & Down. Cheers......

 

Last one of these (sigh). Why is it every time I come across an IPA that knocks me out, it turns out to be a one- off, limited release, etc. In search of more, but not looking good.



Retraction Department. Yesterday I claimed this beauty as being "hazy". Don't know what I was thinking. Full apology: NOT HAZY. There.

This the season to finish off Christmas beer

 

In addition to alcohol abuse, my dad used to say that it was a sin to waste beer.

 

A great IPA , I favor it in the bottle by a slight margin over the can. A great price per six pack. I’ll buy more .
