    I'm very excited about that one, but I intend to have it on a more sober palate. Super Bowl week, Dano, amirite @FBarber ? :wink:

    This is excellent. I don't think I recognized that it was a mixed barrel (bourbon and wine) on my first go, but knowing that going into it, I think it's fairly obvious. Really, really nice.

    Alternating stouts and sours for the game. First up, jester king biere de merlot. Planing to follow that up with BA oil of aphrodite, drie fonteinen kriek, and possibly BCB bananas foster if I’m still conscious. Go Niners. We cannot allow Patrick Mahomes to become Tom Brady 2.0.

    Good afternoon, all! Change of plans: I was going to fry some chicken wings and make some nachos for lunch, but decided to wait until later this evening. (Translation: I fell asleep when I got home from church.) At least I didn't forget my gameday beer: Founders Spicy Chocolate KBS. This has been warming in the glass for half an hour, and the spiciness is just beginning to assert itself. It starts out with huge notes of dark chocolate and char when cold, then balances out nicely at or slightly above cellar temperature. I followed the @DoctorZombies protocol and measured the temp, which is 61.2°F and right in the zone. Decent chili heat and alcohol warmth, not too sweet. I'm getting a ton of astringency on the palate. The finish is slightly sticky, with a bit of lingering chili heat. I just can't stop drinking this, and there's probably no higher compliment I can give to a non-craft beer. :stuck_out_tongue: Served in #proper designer glassware from Oleg Cassini. Cheers!
