What Beer Are You Drinking Now? #4136

My last one, from 2017, it has held up remarkably well.....

 

Bigfoot 2024, it's tasting pretty awesome. Cheers everyone!!

 

Now enjoying this beer that a buddy gave me who had family haul it from Indianapolis. This is an IPA with blood orange from Metazoa. It’s pretty tasty.

Doom Mirage. An IPA brewed by Veil. I really like this beer but my guess is that Veil will not brew it again.

 

....and the woman on the Founders Porter label was to sexy......
They had to change the label years ago for some commission report and brought it back sometime later.

Founders has relabeled most of its products for some strange reason

.....but if you start as a child with Breakfast Stout, you all end up looking like the "gentleman" on the Backwoods Bastard label.
...to many politicians with nothing better to do....

Summit Oatmeal Stout (4.7%): An Oatmeal Stout from Minnesota with flavors of smooth cocoa, bittersweet coffee roast, and cream.

A highly rated oatmeal Stout. Unpresuming, but quite a great beer here. Smooth chooclate and cocoa. The smoothness and drinkability are impresive and make this beer. I'm going to have to pick up another one of these this year.

 

I’d like to give that one a try, looks great!

 

At Southern Yankee Crafthouse...

First up, their Hefe. It is OK, if I get around to it I'll review it, but nothing great.



They had a guest tap from Project Halo Brewing, their Baltic Porter. Again, its OK, and again I'll review if I get around to it ha.

 

Though on to the good stuff...that is a Who's Paul Pale Ale.



With Southern Yankee's glorious Fish & Chips. I'm just a simple lapsed Catholic, but man that Catholic guilt runs deep ha. Oh, and I genuinely enjoy a good fish fry, so you know there is that ha.

 

I love that song from Steve Goodman, his guitar playing dexterity is incredibly underrated.

So true - worrying about babies causing kids to drink instead of the shootings that occur on an almost daily basis now.

As of Feb. 15, at least 4,994 people have died from gun violence in the U.S. this year, according to the Gun Violence Archive – which is an average of about 108 deaths each day. Another 3,351 people have been injured.

There have been more than 49 mass shootings in 2024 so far, which is defined by the Gun Violence Archive as an incident in which four or more victims are shot or killed.

Meh, we don't give a shit about that, it's them damn babies drinking stouts and getting blotto. We need to do something about that.

 

It's smooth and might have a bit of a rye-like dryness goin' 'on. Medium feel. Would be great with seafood. Cheers!
